Welcome to the Edmund Rice Foundation
The Edmund Rice Foundation has for 20 years been working with the Congregation of Christian Brothers to assist in its mission of reaching out to the poor and marginalised of this world in presence, compassion and liberation.
Christian Brothers like many others are concerned that in the developing world there are unacceptable levels of poverty and injustice, particularly for the young.
The Brothers and their supporters work closely with local communities in development projects involving education, health and community development that are grounded in the expressed needs of those communities.
The Edmund Rice Foundation with its many supporters in Australia have enabled these projects to not only be be successful, but act as models for others to replicate.
The Foundation was launched in recognition of the founder of the Christian Brothers, Edmund Rice and aims to provide a long term future for the ministries and good works conducted under the direction of the Christian Brothers and its lay partners.
