CBR Certificate Level 4 Graduation
Community Based Rehabilitation Training

The aim of the program is to prepare participants (Inservice Teachers, Community Health Workers and CBR Field Workers) to acquire basic CBR skills to identify, assess and manage the children and adults with
disabilities in the communities and be able to make referrals to the nearest IERC or Health Centre for further diagnostic tests, treatments and/or rehabilitation.

The program also aims to give participants the knowledge and skills to support and empower persons with disabilities and their families so persons with disabilities can participate meaning fully in an inclusive society. The training program was offered in flexible mode. Participants attended intensive residential sessions during the set dates each year and do assessment tasks at their work place and this was followed up by the practical assessments.

In 2016, 20 participants were enrolled for CBR certificate 4 course, the course ended last year in 2018 and we are graduating 13 out of 20 (9 TSC staff and 4 non-TSC staff).
